On 26 May 2022, the first-year PhD student conference took place at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) of the University of Cambridge. The day involved presentations from first-year research students, a keynote talk, a poster session for networking and engaging in interesting conversations and an academic journal reviewers’ panel session with invaluable suggestions for the students.
