About this event

EINST4INE was presented during a session of the UTokyo-Cambridge Voices Series 2021: University-wide Joint Symposia entitled Engineering the future by leveraging digital technologies. This session focused on how digital technologies are used to advance engineering. The academics involved, including Constanze Leeb, Letizia Mortara and Rob Phaal, presented and discussed their research, and the benefits of collaboration in this field. There are indeed many ways of using digital technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and digital twins) in various applications. As the new frontier in the field, this session looked at two applications – smart manufacturing and strategic planning.
