Andrea Piccaluga
Andrea Piccaluga is the Director of the Institute of Management at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Professor of Innovation Management, and Vice-President of Netval, the Italian network of University Technology Transfer Offices. He holds a PhD from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and a Master in Technology and Innovation Management from University of Sussex, Brighton.
Andrea collaborates with large and medium-sized companies (Knauf, Loccioni, Venture Factory, Enel, Edra, BB) in the field of Open Innovation and with the regional governments of Puglia (Arti) and Tuscany in the field of policies for entrepreneurship and technology transfer.
He is Associate Editor of R&D Management and member of the board of Fondazione Casa Cardinale Maffi and the Italian Academy of Management (SIMA). His publications in the field of R&D management and technology transfer include Sorella Economia (Edizioni Porziuncola) with Marco Asselle and co-editing of Il libro degli opposti (Egea). He was part of an EC Expert Group which wrote the report Knowledge Transfer Metrics. Towards a European-wide set of harmonised indicators.
